A book cover design for War of the Worlds written by H.G. Wells. My inspiration comes from Penguin Classics book designs as well as Celtic illuminated manuscripts, by using gold foil. The gritty, hand lettering title illustrates the horrifying tripods the martians used to take over the world in this 1898 classic novel.
